WHO WE ARE

St. Joseph Parish is a thriving faith community whose parishioners have cultivated a strong support network for their friends and neighbors. The sacraments are at the heart of who we are. Each week we come together to celebrate the most holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Since 1928, through generations of tradition, we have been supporting and praying for those in need in our community. We deepen our faith through devotions and studies in our faith tradition. Some of the ways the people of St. Joseph’s respond to their neighbors in need are:

  • provide pastoral care at all stages of life
  • contribute to minimize food and shelter insecurities
  • support community members in spiritual or emotional need
  • support soldiers of local families
  • support local charitable organizations
  • support local businesses

What Our Parishioners Say

“St. Joseph’s Church reminds me of my church before I moved to Berwick. Everyone is very friendly, and Father Barbee is very nice. I love the vintage feel of the church and the traditional events that take place throughout the year.”

Nikki P.

“I moved here about a year ago and was upset that I had to leave my church. I went to mass at St. Joseph’s a couple of times. I was very impressed with St. Joseph’s; the people were very friendly, and they made me feel very comfortable. Their community filled the void I had after leaving my old church!”

Karon R.

“I tried a few parishes in the area. St Joseph’s community was incredibly welcoming to me and my daughter. The atmosphere and culture of the church is cozy and homey; it has a hometown feel for me.”

Jared S.

“I tried St. Joseph’s because it is close to my home and the 4:00pm Mass on Saturdays is convenient. The people of the parish are very friendly; I met a nice woman who got me involved in the Council of Catholic Women. I really enjoy being involved in the activities of the church!”
